This data gauge is a compact computer designed to read & display information about your vehicle in real time. A "plug & play" device measuring 4.8" (120mm) wide by 1.5" (38 mm) by 1.0" (25 mm), you simply connect to the OBD11 port using the cable supplied. Turn the ignition on & it automatically connects to your cars internal computer.

Your vehicle must be either OBDII or EOBD compatible. In the US and Canada, vehicles were required to be OBDII compatible from 1996. In Europe, EOBD was phased in between 2002 & 2004. Other parts of the world began in various years. To determine if you can fit the Gauge to your vehicle, look at the emission stickers under the bonnet to see if it says OBD2 or OBD II.

How to find the OBD2 connector: This should be located within 1 meter of the steering column, usually under the dash to the right or left of the column. Sometimes it will have a cover over its face. Other locations are under the dash, passenger side under dash, behind the ash tray and rarely, under the ash tray in the back seat armrest.

The Data Gauge has 10 memories which can be used to store an OBDII command. It uses "Flash" type memory which doesn’t require power or a battery to be retained. You can change it as often as you like or keep it as long as you want, even if the Data Gauge is unplugged.

Fuel Economy & Driving Style: The TRIP modes can be used to help save fuel, letting you try different driving techniques and routes and giving quick feedback on how they affect fuel use.*IMPROVED DRIVING STYLE CAN AFFECT FUEL ECONOMY! It can provide data on;

* Distance to Empty

The GAUGE can display instant fuel economy, but small variations in throttle, terrain or even wind will cause this to wander around. The CURRENT trip computer and its RESET capability can smooth this out over a longer distance.

You can enter price paid per gallon/liter of fuel and have the computer calculate the cost as you drive. This will come up as a Cost Per Mile gauge. Also in your trip functions you can view the cost of the current, yesterday's and total tank fuel cost.

Scan Tool: The Gauge can check for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and if found, can display the Trouble Codes themselves.Using the internet or repair manuals, these can be translated to the failed component and repairs made. Data captured when the Trouble Code was set can be recalled to help troubleshoot the problems (was the temperature hot or cold, speed high or low, etc.). It can be used to clear the trouble codes and data which will turn off the warning (Check Engine, Service Engine soon, etc.) lamp.
