1. The device itself operated by a simple SIM card.
2. Software is provided (GooTrac) for you to "self monitor" your own vehicle(s).

The diagram to the left is just a brief overview of how to initially set-up the tracker. It is a technical product that requires some initial patience in understanding how it fully operates.
Nb. Operating instructions & drivers are also provided to be able to track the tracker using a mobile/smart phone (Windows based) or pocket PC (again, Windows operated).
The necessary requirements to operate are;
1. You must have a Fixed IP Address: It will not work with the INTRANET.
2.Your PC must be 100% compatible with Windows Operating Systems.
3. Your PC must support 3D graphic.
4. Google Earth must be installed on your computer/lpatop first; FREE Version 4.0 or later.
5. To display routes in different colour/width for different speeds, in Google Earth go to; Tools-> Options-> 3D view -> Graphics Mode & choose "OpenGL mode"
6. You must install a GSM SIM card & ensure its GPRS function has been enabled; Check this with your telecoms provider.
7. Also ensure you have the latest GPRS APN settings; again, check with your mobile phone provider.
Full & detailed user istructions are provided for which ever modem of tracking you wish to use. However, our advise would be for you to follow the set-up instructions "step-by-step" and do not be overly enthusiastic in proceeding to see your tracker activated.

SMS COMMAND CODES;
If you do "go wrong" while setting up your tracker, you are also provided with a complete list of "SMS command codes"; for example-
1. To "Clear all the data saved in the SIM card" - code; 911#Password.
2. To "Reset to the default settings" - code; 010#Password.
3. To "Change the IP address of the PC used for tracking" - code; 999#Password#Server#Port.
